Concur has updated the guest booking interface, which is currently affecting the use of the CU Central Pay card for guest travel. While we work to resolve this issue, guest bookings cannot be made in Concur.  To arrange travel for a guest, please call or email World Travel for assistance.

Now that the federal government shutdown has ended, airline operations are steadily resuming normal service. However, travelers may continue to experience minor disruptions as airlines and airports work through residual backlogs, reposition aircraft and crews, and fully restore schedules.

As you may be aware, a U.S. federal government shutdown is possible. While essential travel services such as TSA screening, Customs & Border Protection, and Air Traffic Control will continue, there may still be impacts that could affect your travel experience.

Starting October 12, 2025, the European Union will implement the Entry/Exit System (EES) — an automated border control system for non-EU nationals (including U.S. citizens) traveling to countries that are Member States of the European Union.

The "Book for a Guest" feature in Concur remains unavailable for Amtrak bookings due to ongoing technical issues. Concur has not provided a timeline for restoring this functionality within the T2 interface but expects to share an update later this year.

The U.S. Department of State has announced longer processing times for U.S. passport applications. Detailed and up-to-date information regarding the current processing durations is available on the US Passports page of the official U.S. Department of State website.

 

 

The European Union has postponed the launch of the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) from mid-2025 to late 2026. 

Effective May 7, 2025, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will enforce the REAL ID Act.

Effective April 10, 2025, US citizens and nationals from select other countries will require a visa for entry into Brazil. For details on the e-visa application process, visit the official Brazilian government website: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/

Beginning January 8, 2025, US citizens, Canadians, and non-European travelers will be required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the United Kingdom.  An ETA is not required for airside transit (passing through the UK without clearing border control). However, if travelers must pass through border control - for example, to reclaim and recheck baggage for a connecting flight - an ETA will be required.
