Columbia's partnerships with select preferred airlines may provide additional benefits when eligible tickets are booked through Concur Travel or Direct Travel, including:
- Fare Discounts: Discounts on most fare levels.
- Name Change Option: For eligible wholly unused, nonrefundable tickets, a name change may be permitted for a nominal fee, allowing the remaining nonrefundable value to be used by another traveler within the department.
- Preferred Seating: Access to select preferred seats, such as aisle, exit-row, or seats near the front of the aircraft, at no additional cost, when available.
- Priority Boarding: Eligible Delta SkyMiles® members may receive priority boarding.
Benefits and eligibility may vary by airline, fare type, traveler status, and applicable program terms.

Columbia has negotiated preferred rates with select hotels in New York City. These properties are available when booking through Concur Travel or Direct Travel.

Preferred Hotels – Domestic & International
Through Direct Travel's global hotel program, Columbia travelers have access to more than 50,000 properties in 7,400 cities across 170 countries.
Participating hotels may offer additional benefits through negotiated partnership rates, including:

- Hotel loyalty program eligibility
In Concur Travel, eligible Direct Travel global hotel rates will appear as "Direct Global" rates under View Room.
These rates may also be booked by contacting a Direct Travel agent.
Hertz is the University's preferred car rental company.
Benefits of our partnerships with Hertz when rentals are booked via Concur Travel or over the phone with a WTI Travel Counselor include:
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) included in the rates for rentals in the U.S. including Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Columbia.
- Liability insurance included in the rates for rentals in the U.S. including Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Columbia.
Amtrak is the University's preferred rail provider and contractual benefits include:
- Access to heavily discounted “Saver” fares.
- Discount on all Acela Business Class travel between Boston, MA and Washington, DC (inclusive of intermediate segments).
- Discount on Northeast Regional Business Class and Coach travel on the following travel segments:
